Shanko Rugs was established in Reykjavik 2013 by textile artist Sigrun Lara Shanko, co-founder of Elivogar. The essence of Shanko Rugs is strongly rooted in Icelandic nature and culture, from designs inspired by landscapes to the unique making process: each rug is carefully hand-tufted using only the highest quality sustainable Icelandic wool.
