Opened in July 2023, 1 Hotel Mayfair is the UK flagship and first European destination of the nature-inspired luxury lifestyle hotel brand, 1 Hotels, founded by hospitality visionary and CEO of Starwood Capital Group, Barry Sternlicht.

The nature-focused hotel houses 181 rooms, including 44 suites – four of which are signature suites, which, alongside the penthouse, offer in-room spa treatments, private personal training sessions and fitness classes including yoga and Pilates. The penthouse and Signature Suites also boast a beautifully designed minibar and bespoke cocktail kit, with a full selection of premium spirits, including X Muse Vodka, Stagg Bourbon, and 1942 Tequila, as well as a selection of fine wines and Champagne, to be enjoyed in a stylish John Jenkins & Mark Thomas glass.

Penthouse and Signature Suites

Spanning over the size of a small football field 2949 sq.ft. | 274 sq.m., the sky-skimming Green Park Penthouse offers one of the largest and finest luxury one-bedroom suite accommodations in the capital. The penthouse enjoys a prime position on the 7th floor, with panoramic views overlooking Green Park and Piccadilly in one of London’s most sought after locations.

The penthouse boasts a double height ceiling with floor-to-ceiling windows in its main living area, where sunlight flows in through a sweeping wrap-around terrace. Light, shade and texture are at play in the design, with inspiration being echoed from the tonal palette of the neighbouring park that can be seen from the outdoor terrace accessed via retractable sliding doors.

The double height space is celebrated with a hand blown glass cluster, which features 70 individual pendants hung from leather strapping. This unique art piece created by leather-specialist, Jesse Noy, and British lighting company, Northern Lights, has been commissioned especially for the Penthouse Suite. Jesse operates a bespoke leather workshop based at the Cockpit Arts studios in South East London and has a strong ethos to maximise the use of the skins selected, wasting little and working with all defects. Scars & branding on the skins are a key detail in the products and more importantly the animals’ origin. Working with tanneries across the UK, each leather strapping is individually crafted for 1 Hotel Mayfair, showcasing the artistry of this traditional craft.

Nature’s calm envelops the space through luxurious features such as the central two-sided fireplace, adding warmth and comfort to the double-height space, a naturally fallen British oak tree stump bar, a raw timber dining table, a library wall featuring nature and design-themed books, and a sunken tiger stone bathtub. A double-headed rain shower with chromotherapy light, wet-room daybed, and a private two-person sauna provides an indulgent experience, while the separate sprawling bedroom allows privacy and comfort for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Available upon request, the penthouse can be further expanded to accommodate three bedrooms and a private gym, fitted with Technogym training equipment.

Guests of the Green Park Penthouse Suite can enjoy special services such as Dovetale’s celebrated cuisine in the seclusion of their suite’s own dining room, personal training in their private gym, and a dedicated bar service with their own mixologist coming to the suite, taking advantage of the penthouse’s oak tree bar. Sourced from a local park in the south of England, the tree was felled due to ensure the safety of the public space, then repurposed as a beautiful bespoke bar counter, retaining its bark and natural form.

Dover Terrace Suite

Designed with luxury-living in mind, the Dover Terrace Suite spans 914 sq.ft. | 84 sq.m., offering uninterrupted views over Mayfair’s skyline from its large wrap-around garden terrace overlooking distinctive silhouettes of legendary landmarks and the cityscape beyond.

The 7th floor suite is filled with natural light and features a king sized bedroom, open-plan living area, spacious sofa and dining room table hosting eight. The spa-like bathroom is standout, featuring an ultra-deep freestanding bathtub as a focal point and a double headed walk-in rain shower.

In addition to a private mixologist for in-suite events and parties, guests are privy to in-suite barbecues and dinners, with bespoke menus and a private chef to make for an exclusive experience.

Piccadilly Greenhouse Suite

The Piccadilly Greenhouse Suite is a sun-drenched sanctuary, spanning 882 sq.ft. | 81 sq.m., offering a luxury and serene greenhouse getaway in the heart of the city. Guests can marvel at the breathtaking views over Green Park, Big Ben, Palace of Westminster and Piccadilly Street from the hotel’s 8th floor.

The attention to detail is nothing short of spectacular. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows provide immersive city views and a light-drenched private dining area for six, while an oversized Emperor bed, a comfy corner sofa, a spa-like bathroom with a walk-in shower and a luxurious freestanding bathtub ensure ultimate relaxation.

Garden Terrace Suite
Residing on the hotel’s 7th floor, the Garden Terrace Suite spans 1873 sq.ft. | 174 sq.m.. The large suite itself is a sense-awakening space, where open-plan living is key. The star attraction of this suite is the ultra-private 102 sqm terrace, with leafy views overlooking the London skyline, Piccadilly, Green Park and beyond, with its own sofa seating area to enjoy a secluded look over the starlit city views.

The suite features an indoor dining room for six, sofa seating for ten, a spacious living room with luxurious touches, organic tones and tactile detailing, an oversized private bedroom complete with an plush Emperor bed, and a thoughtfully designed bathroom with walk-in shower and an ultra-deep freestanding bathtub.

Other Suites
1Hotel Mayfair is home to 40 other unique one-three bedroom suites, all of which are unmatched sleep sanctuaries surrounded by touches of nature for unparalleled privacy. All suites incorporate biophilic features and handcrafted furniture, including a generous walk-in wardrobe and communal dining table for four within the open-plan living space.
